Prayer, in a windblown cove

Prayer

I guess I pray in my own way
I place trust in the sound
said but unspoken
mouth my devotionals quietly
when there's no-one around
I believe that something
of us can be heard
in the words themselves
by the words themselves
I have faith in the arms of language
with it we arm ourselves
to its shape we owe our image
and our hearts as well
