What you are (with apologia)

What you are

You are intangible
yet you move me like the wind moves
the long black jacket you found
me in the lost and found
you cannot be pinned down
you dress like the moon and her borrowed light
you kiss with your eyes closed
like the blinking stars
you walk on the air holding everything together
you sing like a bird you make a face
you whistle
you are the infant that cannot be held
you are the pain that cannot be felt
you are the noise a pin makes
when it drops
you are the sound of the needle when the music
stops
you are the glint on the waves of the sea
you are the fabulous colours
reflected in the sky
you are the clue and mystery
you are the whole in a fragmentary world
you are grit in the oyster the pearl
you are the prime mover and
you are in your prime
you are the girl for whom the whole of space and time
have been patiently waiting
you are the face of Aphrodite in the sand
you are the flower
in a barren land
you are the force that rotates the leaves
and replays the shower
you are the lightning
the earth attracts
you are the mountain the earthquake cracks
you are the pulse that could break a heart
you are the wave that walks
pulling clouds apart
you are a hurricane at heart
you are a flame
you are a fleet of ships
you are a flock of birds
you are a shoal of fish
you are a wish
you are a church you are a work of art
you are an act of love you are a yielding flesh
you are a driving need
you are my will

my passion
